Panama Surf School was founded in 2005 by Flor Villarreal, an energetic 35 year old female surfer from Mar de Plata, Argentina. Flor has been living in Panama since 2000 and has been living in El Palmar since 2003.
In 1999 Flor was traveling around the word on a sailboat when she discovered the incredible nature, beautiful beaches and friendly people of Panama. Flor initially started an adventure tour company and after discovering El Palmar which provided consistent surf with a safe sandy bottomed break she decided to open Panama Surf School.
Flor is a Licenciada in tourism and hotels, a nature conservationist and swimming instructor.
Flor’s biggest inspiration is her son Tao who has been in the ocean since he was 1 month old surfing since the age of 4. He is her favorite surfer!
Panama Surf School is a company dedicated to its customers. Our goal is to provide a great time and an unforgettable experience for people of all ages. We want to be a part of the feeling of happiness our students feel when riding their first wave, especially a long ride! We love how excited they get and how thankful they are after their first wave.
